Default World War III?

Would it be totally crazy and paranoid to believe that the world is actually in the middle of WWIII right now?

Just wondering....

World War three would include nuclear weapons and massive amounts of casualties. World war three would also be a global war involving many nations in many continents.

So no, the conflict in the middle east is nothing close to a world war. A world war would also include nations retaliating. Iraq hasn't even attacked North America.

If countries like Iran, China, Pakistan, India, North Korea, Russia, United States, etc.. get involved in a conflict it could become a world war.

That's kind of what I thought.

George Bush seems to think we are in WWIII...

Does George Bush realise that terrorism has been around long before September 11th? Bush could probably be considered slightly mentally ######ed on an IQ scale.

This is the same President that could never give a clear answer to why we sent troops to Iraq in the first place does this surprise you?

You would first have to explain to Bush what an IQ scale is...then I'm sure one of his cronies would write the test for him with true and false questions like, 1 + 1 = 2 True or False

No, I don't think we are in WWIII at the moment. We're probably not too far off from another WW though, but I hope I'm wrong.
I thought that if anything would have triggered another WW was the USA going against the UN...I'm sure you all remember when the UN sent representatives to Iraq to find weapons of mass destruction or the materials needed to make weapons of mass destruction and NOTHING was found. The US invaded Iraq anyway, under the mantle of liberating Iraq. If it was another country doing the same thing that would be considered War Crimes, or War Mongering. So it's tough to say what would trigger another WW, what we can expect different from the last two is that perhaps the next one might hit closer to home.

Sure Bush realizes that terrorism has been around a long time. It suits his purposes to spread paranoia in the U.S. and to keep the country on a war footing. He and his cronies are able to do what ever they want and if you dispute his policies, you can be accused of disloyalty. Not so dumb, just reprehensible.

It worked too. Now we have loads of free oil coming to American refineries and gas prices are at 10 year lows!

Some have said that WWIII has already taken place. That war being the Cold War, fought on battle grounds on pretty well every continent around the globe invoving billions of people. Sure, the battles were fought on small scales compared to the first two world wars, but no one can deny that the ideological battles that did take place were just as ferocious as the ones during the other wars. I agree with those who have called the Cold War the third great world war. I think it did encompass much more of the world than the other wars did and probably cost as many lives, just not in as conventional as fashion. The next war will be WWIV, but I don't think we are there yet. Its close, and the lines are being drawn, but it will still take some effort for us to get there.
