NFL - McNair traded to Baltimore
http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/TEN/9484907
Good move for the Ravens. Definitely makes them a solid contender again. Really was a shame how the Titans handled this whole situation.

Indeed it was, I really hope that the Titans don’t expect Vince Young to step in and take over the number one job, because he will like most NFL QB’s taken high in the draft, not succeed
Good for Mcnair though a good fit, reunited with his old pal Dayson

I guess the rumour is that Kerry Collins will probably go to the Titans to help groom Vince.

Where does Billy Volek fit in? He has been good (and sometimes great) as a replacement when McNair has gone down. And I know the previous few years team had asked the Titans about Volek but were told he wasn't available.
Even if Volek does get the starting nod, you know it will only be keeping the position warm. Even Drew Brees have a couple great seasons didn't keep his position from Philip Rivers (a poor decision in my mind)

Volek's a little too fragile IMO. He's a solid backup but I don't think he's starting material. Kerry Collins would be great for a year or two and he's looking for a job as a starter.

But Collins has been through the league, he has no mobility, and ever since the Giants he has fumblitis. Personally I wouldn't go near Collins for anything other than an emergency mid-season replacement.

McNair is definately the right fit for the Ravens.
Really, for a starting QB he isn't one who really forces it up there and causes a lot of turnovers. He might not always rack up the TDs, but he'll at least protect the ball which is exactly what the Ravens need with that defense. Score some points once and a while, don't turn the ball over, run the ball.
If Jamal Lewis gets his game back, look out.
Hopefully he can stay healthy for the entire season, either way, massive upgrade over Kyle Boller, who has not panned out as a Raven and just isn't showing the progress you'd expect from a high pick.

Stephen Jackson is mine, or whomever gets the rock for the Lions.

Another one to watch out for will be Curtis Martin.

Really? You don't think he has run out of gas? Until they get their starting QB situation figured out (or Pennington proves he can throw more than 20 yards without a rainbow) the LBs are just going to sit down on Martin.

If the Jets are smart and Pennington is at least half-decent, I think they could get a very potent WCO going.

All kidding aside, I don't think I'd class Martin as a sleeper. I think that he's gonna be stuffed this year, but we'll see.
I think Arizona is going to have a crazy offense this season, I'd pick some of the guys there (Warner mid-to-late)

Great move for McNair. He was probably the Titans best player last season, so I'm not sure why they felt he wasn't the right guy to mentor Young. Surely, they can't see Young as a starter before at least year 3. By that time, McNair would've been 36 and thinking retirement. Bad deal.
I hate the Ravens.
Lewis will have Mike Anderson behind him so he'd better not falter. Anderson is capable of taking his job. His work ethic is something the drug conspirator Lewis could learn from.
Sleeper fantasy picks?
Jake Plummer. Huge year with two legitimate #1 receivers to throw to.
Ronnie Brown. Ricky's out, I don't see Brown letting this opportunity go by.
Brian Griese. Could come out as the starter in Chicago, and they are a decent young team with a great defense.

what groom him to throw countless interceptions? I blame Collins for alot of my Raiders recent woes. I was soo happy the Raiders got rid of that goof.

I would more blame the Raiders for the Raiders woes.
They really should have drafted Leinhart, since really, Aaron Brooks is probably nothing more than a short term fit for them. Or at least he should be.

It's spelled Leinart, FYI.
And yeah Aaron Brooks is no better than Collins.
