Your Very First Car
As per an idea someone had in another thread. What was your first car?
Mine was a 1987 Buick Le Sabre. This was back in 1997. My dad bought it at a junkyard and my brother and I helped him fix it up. Man what a piece that thing was. My brother and I shared that car and ragged on it as much as we could. After not changing the oil for about 9 months (or any other fluids for that matter) it finally gave out.
I remember being so poor in high school that it barely had any gas in it. I would even pull into gas stations and full up for a dollar, hoping it would be enough to get home!
Sure am glad some things have changed...

Yes...still driving my first car. Just past the one year anniversary about a week ago.
1985 BMW 528e. I love it. In a full year of driving, I've put on over 20,000 km, and still no problems. Love this car.
It's funny...some people laugh because I have this old BMW...call me lame. Others are actually impressed.

A Dodge Aries K Car station wagon - yeah that's right...a nice reliant automobile.
After that I went on a bizarre streak of owning 3, that's right 3 seperate Plymouth Sundances. All pieces of crap but that's all I could afford.

1987 Pontiac 6000LE wagon, in white. It was secondhand. Well, thirdhand. Before my parents bought it in 88, it was used to ferry athletes around at the Winter Olympics. Wagons kick ass. The next vehicle I get is definitely going to be a wagon.

1978 Mercury Cougar 4 door, which was a ex-police special (unmarked). It had a 351 Modified v-8, positraction, and came with a bench seat, an AM single speaker radio and cop car hubcaps. You could light the tires up and watch the gas gauge go down. Gas was 24 cents / L

1990 Honda Civic Hatchback Si.. Still driving it. My parents bought it for me in May 2000.
I love my car but is pretty banged up now (no fault of my own... stupid brother) and I would be surprised if the transmission makes it through the summer. We have been through many adventures and I will be sad the day I have to let it go.

A 1988 VW Fox. The 'Foxy Lady'
I learned on a 1987 Olds Cutlass Ciera with sports package. That car could go! My poor parents. I remember 'jumping' the mounds at the drive Inn with it.
