The Calgary Flames congratulate the Minnesota Wild.

Flames 1 Wild 3

The return of the Dominator was not the only reason the Flames couldnt get passed the Wild.

We will look for answers on the loss over the course of the next few weeks.

Flames felt that they had a good enough lineup with lots of firepower and experience going into the playoffs. Flames also felt that they had one of the best goalies in the league with Miikka Kiprusoff. The only thing that really concerned us was our defence and we cant allow that many shots on net and expect Kipper to bail us out all the time.

Looks like the Wild have finally found their groove. And if that groove is any indication, look out whomever they play.

The Minnesota Wild are for real and Mr. JiriHrdina has done a great job in putting together a good squad.

Go Wild!

Wild Head to Final Four.

It was a well kept secret, that even Wild fans didn’t expect.

When the Minnesota faithful arrived to Game 6 on Wednesday the man between the pipes was indeed a surprise.

It was not Curtis Joseph who had led the team to a 3-2 series lead over the Flames. No…it was in fact Dominik Hasek returning to the cage for the first time in weeks.

A risky move perhaps considering the strong play of Joseph in the series, but it was a move that paid off. The Wild downed the Flames 3-1 to capture the series and advance to the conference finals for the first time in organization history. After the game, GM Farhall said he was playing a hunch.

“Cujo has been tremendous for us, but Dom is our #1 guy and you don’t lose your #1 spot because of injury. I thought he would come up with a big game and he did”.

Farhall also offered congrats to the Flames.

“Calgary is a class organization top to bottom and they had a tremendous season. We felt this one could go either way and ultimately it came down to a few bounces that went are way”.

wow.. unreal.. two of the most powerful teams are struggling in the playoff. Congrats to Wild winning the series. If Wings win game 7, this will be one of the biggest upset in CPHL history

WINGS WIN 3 STRAIGHT TO FORCE GAME 7

Detroit Red Wings needed a win against the Edmonton Oilers on Monday to avoid ending there season. The Wings responded with all the urgency and desperation they could handle.
The self-inflicted wounds in the first period were too many and too severe to overcome for the Oilers, and the Wings now have won three straight to even the series at three games apiece. Todd Bertuzzi who leads all playoff performers fired a pass to a streaking Simon Gagne. Gagne who took the pass at center ice went in untouched on a breakaway and made no mistake roofing it over Broduer's right shoulder. Edmonton made the game real interesting when they made it a one goal game with just over three minutes remaining in regulation. Goalie Mike Dunham acquired at the deadline was again the teams unsung hero as he out dueled Martin Brodeur turning aside 22 of the 24 shots he faced.

Detroit looks to make history on Wednesday night. If they can pull one more win out of there ass's they will become the first team in CPHL history to come back and win a series after being down 3 games to 0. "One way or the other this will be over Wednesday" Claimed Bertuzzi "I cant wait for this to be over so i can finally shower and change my panties."

Naw. You should show your faith in the Wild and offer to keep that clause alive until we get to the final.
