Cose But No Cigar...Again

For the 2nd consecutive game the Wild were lost the game in the third period.

The Wild dominated the second frame, outshooting the Flames 18-7 but the teams scored 2 goals each. After the game GM Farhall said the difference is in the nets right now.

"Cujo isn't playing bad by any stretch but he was quite simply outgoaltended for the 2nd consecutive game. Either he has to stop more pucks or we have to figure out a way to get to Kipper."

Flames take first game in Minnesota and reclaim home ice advantage.

Flames 4 Wild 3

Your Calgary Flames battled and took the first game in Minnesota.
This is gonna be a tough series. Minnesota just doesnt let up and they keep battling back.
Selanne with his second goal in as many nights is taking full advantage of the extra ice time alloted to him by Coach Sutter.
Stevie Y is looking like he has found the fountain of youth, helping out on two goals this evening.
Kimmo Timonen looks to have also found his scoring touch again by popping his first of the playoffs.
And of course, Miikka Kiprusoff is standing on his head, keeping the Flames in all the games.
