EU suspends aid to Palestinians

The European Commission has temporarily halted direct aid payments to the Palestinian government, which is now led by militant group Hamas.

That with the US aid now makes 1 billion dollars not going to the Palestinians. Hamas now says it will look tot he Islamic world to make up the short fall.

I see them turning into something like Suth Africa. A pariah state.

The consensus was that Arafat was a terrorist yet these nations provided aid to the Palestinian people during his tenure. The fact that Hamas is a terrorist group seems like a convenient excuse to cut off funding.

Even if Hamas ever renounced violence against Israel and accepted them as a neighbouring country, does anyone honestly think no new factions would form based around the destruction of Israel?

There will always be extremists, and even if Hamas will change it's stance for the sake of recieving aid, I highly doubt anything will really change.

I think this is good. Say all you want about there being other factions, this is more of a direct shot at Palestinians for electing such an atrocious faction, and displaying blatant anti-semitism.

And in the paper today Hamas is considering a 'two state' solution.
Coincidence? I think not.
