What is the deal going on at DMD, All I heard is the NHL shut them down?

Apparently the NHL shut them down for having NHL logos on their site...

I don't think that is the official word though, but this is what I found.

Unfortunately, the NHL had to send cease and desist orders. One of the difficult things about copyright law is that the copyright holder must protect their property or courts can rule in future cases that the rights holder condoned the public usage of the material.

i heard it was because theyaccepted donations so it was like they were being paid for the add-ons, and well the NHL and NHLPA weren't getting a cut
