id like to point out the in the worst trade category. The Sens/ Islanders Deal was an Error and never actually took place. Course if it had taken place then yes it would have been a pretty bad deal for the Sens.

The Rangers trade with the Panthers is an error as well. I don't recall that one taking place....

Yeah, I have to agree there. Actually sorry Spike, but I think you finish first second and third for this award this year. But don't feel bad, I know someone else who's been there!
Don't forget the Darryl Sutter award for best first year GM.
I also propose that we create a new award called the Cameron Schuler award. Award is in honor of the man who has made us such a great site to use, and for the most part doesn't get the recognition he deserves.
Award would go to the veteran GM who's great management is under rated. Generally the Fletcher award is for those who turn around bad teams. But there are a few GM's who run a solid team year in and year out and don't get recognized for their efforts. Rule would be that you can't vote for the same people for this award whom you select for the Fletcher award, and that the GM must have 2 seasons as a CPHL GM as a minimum.
I would nominate the following GM's for this award
KevanGuy Bruins
RadicallyRed Senators
HannaSniper Hurricanes
JiriHrdina Wild
Cheese Thrashers

Two notes to make on this
1. The GM is no longer in power of the said team, This is an award awarded to the GM and not the team. I don't see the point of awarding awards to GM's no longer in the game other then to rub there nose in it
2. The trade reads that this was for Marion Gaborik which is 100% untrue. The deal was for 5 1st Round Draft Picks (NJ) and 2 2nd Round Draft Picks (NJ). That was the deal that I traded away to aquire Ovechkin.
None the less this was a real sad day in the CPHL and hopefully we never see what lead to this happen again

he my 3rd best rookie...I would prefer that Morrisonn be the candidate from the Sharks. He was one of the rookies with the most average icetime (signifying value to his team), the leading goal scorer amongst rookie D-men, the second best +/- among rookie d-men, and he has the lowest OV among the top 5 rookies and still was fighting for the top spot all year.

LOL
I still remember that day... and funny thing was Tim and I were discussing the players involved for a few hours and then I had to leave, so I told him just to send over an offer when he figured things out and I would accept it. Little did I know Tim would send over an offer with Marshall, Morrison AND Alfreddsson for Kovalev and Vandergulik! LOL

All true...but...He played in some games in the 2004/2005 season which makes him ineligible for rookie of the year awards this season.

So then why would Morrisonn be listed on the Calder race page ALL year? Why was he in the Rookie All-Star game?
