The
Sharks are very pleased to announce the beginning of a wave of UFA signings. With the
Sharks having few draft picks this year they have been combing the UFA market and have come away with a few players they feel would be highly drafted were they to be allowed to go unsigned.
Quan Representation has signed Girardi, Daniel (D) of the San Jose Sharks to a 3 year deal worth $.575 mill. (2-way deal)
Girardi is a solid D-man in his rookie pro season. He is the leading rookie scorer amongst D-men in the AHL and has played very well at both ends of the ice.

From Hockey's future- "Kelsey Wilson was picked up from the Sarnia Sting to provide some muscle for the Storm last year. But what they discovered is that along with his toughness, Wilson has some other tremendous upside. Wilson is an obvious beneficiary of the new rules. He now plays on the power play, and has scored at a rapid clip throughout this season. He is willing to pay the price in traffic and doesn’t back down from more physically overpowering opponents. We are convinced that his upside is much higher than previously thought."

Agent the_only_turek_fan and Guadagnolo, Anthony (San Jose
Sharks)(FORMER UFA) have agreed to a contract worth 1.00 million for 3 year(s)
This deal has yet to be approved by the league...
From Hockey's future:"Anthony Guadagnolo was stuck in the shadow of Danny Battochio in Ottawa for the past 2 years. But the trade that brought Guadagnolo to Windsor has been like a rebirth for the athletic goaltender. He has been incredible in Windsor with his combination of quiet movement and ability to steal goals. The Spitfires turned their season around when Guadagnolo became their #1 player. He has helped them climb to the top of the Western division."

Two additional players have come to a verbal agreement with the
Sharks and one more is in the final stages of negotiating. Finally, we are awaiting a reply from one other agent Transplant 99, you out there?) with one more possible addition.
Youth has been injected into the team and we look forward to watching it develop. All of these playes (IIRC) have been undrafted in the NHL and it will be interesting to see if they are picked up in this years draft.
