It's the Mash...The MONSTER Mash: Aw Woooooooooo
After another close game against the Panthers and the Penguins, the Panthers "Monster Mash" line decided to wake up and play some scary hockey.
The Penguins got off to an 2-0 that stunned the crowd on Friday night. It wasn't until late int he 2nd that the Panthers were able to tie the game up, swinging the momemtum back in their favor from goals from Modano adn Gonchar. But the tie game didn't last long as the Penguins scored a very late 2nd period goal with under a minute remaining to take a 3-2 lead heading into the 3rd period.
It was during the 2nd intermission that it happened; Frankenstein stood up and said "Me will score goal, me score goal to tie up game...me do it don't worry..."
The dressing room went silent as the true leader of the team, Frankenstein, managed to mumble thes few words.
At 18:17 of the 3rd period, Frankenstein was good to his word. He marched down the ice with both arms stretched out in front of him, the puck moving as if it magically knew where it would end up. With a shot that only a monster could perform....WHAM...
the puck was off and...KABLAM...it was in the net. Frankenstein was good on his word and tied the game up. With the pressure off of his team, Satan decided to end the agony in OT with a blast from the point.
The "Monter Mash" line was the real story tonight as they dominated the entire game.
