Default Fine Line Tattoo's

Anyone have work done here, or heard good/not-so-good things?

If you're in Calgary, go to Smiling Buddha.
Best by far in the city.

Immaculate Concept, 12th Ave... the guy that did mine works there (Steve Peace), he's the guy that hosts the tattoo convention every year.. he's one of the best, but it's like 3 months to see him...

Does Smiling Buddha still take walkins on Saturdays? They're good, but isn't the waiting list several months long? Based on my research I've narrowed it down between Immaculate Concept and Fine Line.

I haven't seen much info on Body Inc, do you know if they have a webpage?

Living Color in Inglewood... BY FAR, the best.... Casey Davis co-founder of Smilin Buddha founded it long ago... Smilin Buddha IS not THE place to get a tattoo anymore.... dont let the hype fool you.

Wookie is right. My has a bunch of work done by Casey and the guy is amazing. If you can get him to do whatever it is you're getting done then do it. Be warned though, if it's a stupid tatoo, he'll tell you, and he probalby won't do it.

Just out of curiosity... what constitutes a "stupid tattoo"?

Watching that show Miami Ink, they'll all be groaning about "oh fairies are so lame I never want to do a fairy" and then someone will come in with a picture of a girl who's eyes are bleeding and they'll say "coool".

Shaun at Fine Line Tatoo is AWESOME. I have had all 3 of my Tattoos done there, and between my friends and immediate family we have had another 12-15 done there and have NEVER had a complaint.

I recommend Fine Line to everyone I know who wants to have one done.

Like the girl who wanted a bottle of Johnny Walker on her calf (my uncle was there to see the process). Chich showed him what she wanted and he says "Why? Are you an alcoholic? Cause that's what people are gonna think if you get this done. Come back tomorrow and if you're still an alcoholic I'll do it"

It's not a matter of what the tattoo actually is, but more of how much thought went into it. If you want a big liquor bottle tattooed on you I'm sure he'd be more than happy to do it as long as you had a decent reason.

Casey Davis is, shall we say, opinionated.... some would call him an *******. He will tell you what he thinks of your design good or bad.
And he is a good artist. They dont do alot of work from those books most tattoo shops have. If you want a tasmanian devil or Calvin and hobbes, go elsewhere... if you want a really nice haidu or japanese custom design, go there.

On a side not, Jason Dione, the other artist at Living Color is an amazing artist both tattoo and otherwise. Does really amazing work. It'll be interesting to see if Davis can keep him around along enough before Jason realizes how much true talent he has.

Ha ha. That's definitely a stupid tattoo, unless maybe she staved off a murderer with a whisky bottle, or her grandfather's last words were "Johnny Walker".

I know someone named Johnny Walker. I think I'll suggest that idea to him.

Thanks Frankster, I'm going to drop by there in the next few days and talk to Shaun.
