Goin to Fernie

Hey there, does any one know a good reasonable hotel to stay at in or around fernie? I need around $100 a night. Im going there on the weekend for some snowboarding, but goin to whitefish first then fernie. please let me know

The Best Western is fairly new, and aound that price. It's right on top of a BP's as well, so you can eat and drink there, and stumble to your room. Decent place and I do believe it has a pool.

There are more places on the main drag that are around the $100 mark, are a little older, but if you stay close to the 7-11 you're also close to "The Pub", which is another great place to drink loads of beer and play pool.

If you want to slum it but get really really drunk stay at the Raging Elk...it's a hostel. Cheap, full of dirty Aussies, but a fun place to be.

You could also stay on the mountain, and there's a bus that runs from the bars on the hill into town. It go straight to the bars in town, but I can't remember at what time it runs, or if it goes back.

Fernie's one of my favorite ski hills ever. We usually get a cheap motel in Sparwood and then drive into Fernie. However, the last time we were there six of us got a room at the SameSun Hostel. Our place had a pullout couch, a master suite and kitchenette. For a hostel, it was pretty decent and pretty cheap when divided between us. http://www.samesun.com/fernie_hostel.html

If I'm going on the cheap (which is 99% of the time) I nearly always stay at the Wolf's Den up on the hill. Cheap, but clean and only a two minute walk to the lifts in the morning. Couldn't be more convenient. Here's a link if you like http://www.skifernie.com/vacations/m...mmID=93&re=FAR

I used to stay at the Riverside lots too, but it's gotten more expensive under the new management there.
