Default ODDS on winning the CPHL Stanley Cup

hey guys...
given the recent surroundings of illegal betting..

last year, somebody took the bull by the horns and did odds on winning the cup or was it playoff rounds..my OLD memory escapes me.

who was that?.and will that happen again this year.

Whoever did it, did a great job....

I'd say the Oilers would be the leader of the pack at like 3-2. Thrashers close by at 3-1. And a bunch of teams to follow at 5-1 or 6-1.

Yeah, that was the drunkline betting that HD did. He paid out great odds too. I think Cheese ended up winning like over a million at it. Which is great because we all stated out with like 1000 Drunk bucks. I feel like starting an illegal gambling ring, so maybe I'll try something like that. Just don't expect me to make it look as pretty as Drunk did.

But guaranteed I'll use inside information and try to cheat me way through, and demand that teams throw games to get the results that make me the most money.

I'm "all in" on the Thrashers. If the Odds are 3-1 I'll see if I can hit up my wife for a loan.

Okay, heres my crack at things. If you want to place bets with me.....PM me....No, but you can all have $500 of play money to wager as you like. You can bet it all on one team, or you can try to spread it out if you like. But you can only place money on a maximum of 5 teams. Also the house keeps 5% of your winnings as a handling fee because hey we can face RICO charges if they ever blow the whistle on me. I encourage you all to place bets through your spouses though and use any inside info you have to your advantage!!! for example

Janet Jones-Cheese bets $500 on the Bruins because she knows Cheese will throw the semi's.....

ODDS
1.)Thrashers 4-3 CPHL's top team all year long GM always wins
2.)Oilers 3-2 Top team in the Howe, so more likely to get there
3.)Bruins 3-2 Another proven team
4.)Flames 2-1 In the Howe they have an easier road to get there
5.)Panthers 5-2 Difference between them and the Flames is comepetition
6.)Penguins 7-2 Could be a sleeper if Naslund and Forsberg click
7.)Senators 8-1 Teams had some tough injuries
8.)Wild 10-1 A Howe team that should be better than they are
9.)Predators 11-1 Again being in the Howe helps their odds
10.)Hurricanes 12-1 They lack a bit in goal in a tough conference
11.)Sabres 15-1 Have done well to overcome Palffy's retirement
12.)Rangers 15-1 Always a bit of an enigmatic team
13.)Ducks 15-1 Don't look now but the Ducks are charging hard
14.)Canucks 30-1 Good tending but a step below the others
15.)Kings 40-1 Lots of young talent but not enough goaltending
16.)Canadiens 45-1 Tough competition just to get in
16.)Wings 50-1 Johan Hedbergs going to lead a team to the cup?
17.)Islanders 55-1 Not enough depth to plow through the Gretzky
19.)Jets 75-1 Howe is open, but the Jets have to get there
20.)Hawks 75-1 Hawks have struggled but Jagr could make this worth it
21.)Jackets 80-1 Team has good depth, could last a few rounds...
22.)Coyotes 100-1 Good top end talent, just not enough depth
23.)Blues 100-1 Good young talent, just not there right now.
24.)Avalanche 200-1 Avs are in tough just to make the playoffs.
25.)Sharks 250-1 The fact that the Sharks even make the list is an accomplishment

After this the rest of the teams aren't worth the bet. These teams are too far out to have a realistic shot at the playoffs this year. Sorry if it offends you but it's the truth. If you like pick any of them and I'll give you 500-1 odds.

HalifaxDrunk gave everyone 500 Drunk dollars then he put up odds on every playoff game. The goal was to finnish the playoffs with the most Drunk dollars. Which was allot of fun!!

Hey! I am in 24th place. Shouldn't my "ranking" be 24th too?

Actually this falls into the "I'm just happy to be here" category. Look out CPHL- the Sharks are nearing .500 (ok, not overall, but for the last 6-8 weeks! )!

Well if I wasn't right why did you PM me and put $500 on the Penguins?

An awareness of past teams in the finals....

Year 1
Bruins 1st in Gretzky vs Sharks 7th in Howe - Bruins win

Year 2
Bruins 3rd in Gretzky vs Hawks 1st in Howe - Hawks win

Year 3
Bruins 5th in Gretzky vs Oilers 2nd in Howe. - Bruins win

Always a team who isnt in first place in respective Conference who makes the final.
Isnt it about time someone other than the frikn Bruins represents the Gretzky Conference? Atlanta anyone?
