Weird Power Outage?
Anyone else have their power go out for a millisecond there? That's twice it's happened to me today, and one of my coworkers said she was talking to someone in Westlock who had the same thing...

I was playing a game of Empire at War and hadn't save the game for an hour or so, I finally had a fleet in place and was kicking Rebel butt in one battle that would have given me a key world and snap boom boom out goes da lights.

This evidently was a massive power surge.
When the Fan960 came back on the air, the announcers were talking about how the power flickered in the Enmax Centre in Lethbridge. My mom says the same happened in Airdrie.
It hit half the province at least.
CC: I had 2 hours worth of work on wikipedia just saved when the surge hit. 10 minutes sooner, and I probably would have thrown my computer through the wall.

That's harsh. Good thing I wasn't doing anything important like killing Rebels...

What would cause something like that, especially so large? I just put a few of the clocks back to normal.

I phoned ENMAX and the effing thing said "office closed bla bla bla". 311 lady told me that they don't know what it was but suspect a transformer was hit and it has affected the entire city. She probably didn't know anymore than we do but that's what she said.

Not sure what it was but I'm quite sure Dion Phaneuf had something to do with it.

I didn't realise such a massive area was affected. Luckily I was on my laptop (and running off my battery... for some reason... ) and there's no work lost on my end. The Dion spared me.

Noticed it in Southern Edmonton as well. Lights dimmed real low and computer restarted. Probably has to do with the heavy snowfall on its way.
