St Paddy's day....what's going on?
Anyone know what's going on this Friday for St Paddy's? As far as I know, these are the following events I have found: - A tent DT across from Ceili's...rumour only. Anyone know anything about this?
- Spirit of the West at Whiskey
- Captain Tractor at Deerfoot Casino
Anyone else know of a venue around town where Tron and his buddies can get drunk, fight each other and chase snaggle tooth women?

Since its a Friday, I would expect most bars/pubs will be operating as usual with one exception. Green food colouring in their beers. I would expect the Irish themed pubs might have something extra going on

Hey, I'm just looking for an excuse to get loaded. Venue isn't really important here, but I would prefer it didn't involve food coloring in my beer. What a friggin disgrace that is.
I'm part Irish, and I just found out my family was a bunch of sheep thieves back on the island. What better reason than that to go out and get intoxicated?

Most people end up on Elgin St. or in the market. Whereabouts are you going to be (downtown, Kanata, etc.) and what kind of place to you typically go for (bar, pub, club)?

I´m in Seville Spain right now but am heading to London. I´m hoping to go to the Maple Leaf Pub near Trafalgar Square for St Paddy´s day. Going to wear my Flames T-Shirt there and hope to make some new friends. Or at least trash talk some Leafs Fans....
If you´re a London reader of CP and you´re there - let me know and I´ll buy you a beer!

Capital Hill Hotel & Suites, I'm told it's downtown? There's a group of us going. The National Debating Championships start Friday night, Dalhousie's sending 14 people, Cape Breton 2, UNB 3, Acadia 8 I think. The debaters in the East are A LOT different than those in the rest of the country, we judge and debate drunk, basically use it as an excuse to party. We plan on starting at the airport tomorrow night and not stopping until we get back to Halifax Int'l on Monday.
So whatever's close to there let me know. For those in the Ottawa area, tall, skinny, ugly guy with glasses and a "Cape Breton Drinking Team" T-shirt will be me

I received an email from Cowboys a fwe weeks ago. If you pre-buy your Stampede drink tickets, they are only $7 a piece!

Ah yes, Capital Hill. Yeah, you are closest to Elgin St. but a lot of the bars are Elgin St. are a bit nicer and not necessarily the rowdy drunk type of place. You are probably best going to the market and just walking around to find a place. I really like the Heart and Crown. It's a small pub in the market. But there are tons of places in that area that you can go to.
Oh and when you are done at the bars, you should head back to Elgin st. and go to the Elgin St. Diner. That place is always full of people who have just come from the bars. It's really fun. Always packed.

Elgin St. Diner, I shall reccomend it, or atleast try to lead people there.
The market and look around? Heart and Crown I should remember, sounds like a pub back home called the Crown and Moose (or had the words Crown as well as and in it).
Since I've got you here, Senators tickets... know anywhere I could get some for cheap?
