Default Do You Speed?

I've noticed over the last couple of months the number of people who are always in such a rush to get everywhere. Like a guy who can't stand driving behind me at 30 km/h in a playground zone that he has to blow around me (on a two lane street) going about 70.

This got me thinking, I rarely ever speed, the only time I ever did really was before I got into a car accident and I would only go about 10 km/h over and usually on Glenmore.

So I ask....Do you speed? And if you do, by how much?

I speed, but usually go no more than 10 over the limit in the city, and 15 over outside the city.

I'm not really sure why, I doubt it saves me very much time at all.

I usually go at the flow of traffic on the major highways.

Most of the time however, I try to stick to the speed limit and someone always rides my tail.

I'll do what the police will give me.

I go no more than 10kph over in city limits, since that is what photo radar cameras give you.

I generally do about 10-20 over on highways, depending on what part of the province I am in.

Of course, this depends on weather and traffic. Generally in poor conditions, I am one of the most cautious drivers on the road.

I speed, but not that much. If the limit is 50, I'll go between 55-65 depending on the weather, traffic congestion, and time of day. In an 80 zone, I go between 90-100 depending on those three factors again. I go between 110-120 in a 100 zone. I'd rather go 10 over then 10 under

The only time I really go the speed limit is in playground/school zones.

I will go about 10 km/h over the limit now and then, however, should I be pulled over for speeding while doing so, I take the ticket and pay it.

I would say I never speed in residential areas, and also never in playground zones.

Anywhere else I almost always speed. Part of it is also having gone for so long without getting a ticket; 6 years since my last one. Usually about 10-20 over; depending on the situation.

Not much anymore....maybe 5 or 10 over on the freeway. I suspect when I get the 68' RS SS on the road it may change.

I speed, and as it gets warmer out, I find I tend to speed even more. I also find the speed limits on roads in Edmonton so slow. 60 km/hr on most roads, which would be 70 in Calgary. Even the whitemud is slow!

My name is BlackArcher101, and I'm a speeder.

Usually 10 over in the city, 15-20 on the highway. Depends on the conditions & traffic. It is just so easy to drive my car fast, you hit the gas and before you know it, you're speeding when you look over at the speedometer.

It's a good thing my car actually came with a "speeding excuse card".

Depends on the traffic and street. There are a few streets in Lethbridge where I'll go 5 over 50. With the police in Lethbridge you never know what they'll do. I was with my friend when was was pulled over for going 65 in a 60 zone and once I was going 90 in a 70 zone and the police saw me and didn't do a thing. I got a ticket for going 80 in a 70 zone once.

On the highways I'll go up to 120.

In my younger days I had no problem going 140 on the highways. I sped most everywhere I went. When I got my ticket for going 80 in a 70 zone, I quickly changed my ways.

I've got the need, the need for speed. I go with the flow of traffic, or if I'm first off a light, about 10-15 over. I'll pay my ticket when I get one. The big one for me is not to be stupid about it...snowy/icy, I'm very cautious. Heavy traffic, also cautious. And I don't weave in and out of traffic to get where I'm going.

But, what infuriates me, is people going too slow for the conditions/flow of traffic.

My little truck is hardly capable of speeding but on my bike on an isolated road, I 'm a sinner.

I'll speed on the highway, but rarely in the city - and never on residential streets.

I used to live on a residential street that many people would turn onto from the highway in order go around traffic, like a short cut. I can't tell you how many times I almost got hit backing out of my driveway, or just walking down the street.

Can't afford to speed too much... being a young male sucks when it comes to insurance.

I do what I can get away with though, usually up to 10 over... 15 on the highway. I'm pretty cautious when the weather is bad.

Sometimes in the spring/summer I'll get the itch for speed and punch it .. then regret it later when I have to fill gas prematurley

Speed? Of course I speed. The speed limits, under normal conditions, is much too low.

During times like this, with the snow and all, I don't speed, I go the speed limit and end up being the fastest one on the road.

I usually speed everywhere except playground/school zones. Anywhere from 5-15 km/h over the limit, not sure why.

Most of the time I just do what feels right, like what the other cars around me are doing, which is usually 5-10km over the limit.

On the highway however, I do speed. I usually find another car going really fast and just follow him hoping the cops will pull him over giving me time to slow down.
