Default Indeed Iggy is an Oil

Axel how could you allow this to happen??

Late Wednesday evening a deal between The Wild and Oil was struck. Going South was Hossa, Pouliot and the Oil’s second round pick in 2006. Returning to Alberta is Mr. Iggy himself and whatever.

An ecstatic Rink Rat had these comments about the deal. “Iggy ….. Iggy ….. Iggy…..whooo! This sure adds a new dimension to the Battle of Alberta now doesn’t it Axel. We were obviously surprised when Axel (Rival GM) traded Iggy to the Panthers for Jeff O’neill. Now we are going to make him pay for it, as the fans in Calgary must be shaking their heads, anticipating a possible play-off war down the road. We now have a top 5 here in Edm, which includes players such as Iggy, Lecavalier, Hamrlik, Samsanov and Brodeur to rally upon during the play-off run. This is indeed a huge trade for the future of this franchise as Iggy is signed for three years, and does bring a lethal power play presence.

“What we lost today was insignificant, Hossa: a 26 year old STAR, Pouliot: HUGE potential and a 2nd round pick (well …… actually we gave a lot). All will be missed. That is until we look down the right side of the ice and see Iggy doing his thing”.

The Oil also gained 1.75 Mill next year, and a 4th round 2006 pick in return.

Whooo! Bring on the Battle of Alberta
