Michael Vick. Easy pick.
He has great physical talents but absolutly no idea how to read a defense and really is starting to look to run way too early and often.

While I agree Champ is overrated, I wouldn't go as far as to call him Chump. He had an outstanding year this season. Last season, not so much.
I would vote for Terrell Owens as well. He's not the best receiver in the league and he never has been. And I'm talking about on the field, forget his useless attitude.
Jamal Lewis-Very average NFL back IMO

I think Vick has to be the most overrated QUARTERBACK in the NFL, however not as a playmaker...he is way too inaccurate to be an elite QB. I also think Mcnabb is a little overrated as he is not the most accurate QB either. I think Westbrook is underrated for that team.
I always thought John Lynch was a little overrated until I saw him with Denver this year, he tore it up.
Plaxico Burress is made of glass and plays scared. Jevon Kearse has never been great since his seasons with the Titans, injured or not.
Another player that may be overrated is Ed Reed, while he has had great seasons, he really struggled last year and perhaps the Ravens defense was protecting him, however they just changed to a 4-3 from a 3-4, so maybe he just has to adjust.
Edit: I think Chad Pennington is overrated as well, he has a noodle for an arm.
Lastly, no Cowboy is overrated, and if anything they are underrated and the only reason they don't win is because there is a league wide conspiracy against them...

Tough question. Some of the names being thrown out there (e.g. Martin, Lewis) aren't so overrated as much as they are past their peaks. RBs in particular seem to breakdown so quickly.
But I do agree TO is over-rated.
Joey Harrington is also over-rated. Yes most people think he sucks. I just think he sucks more.

You don't know ANYTHING about football. Obnoxious? Most definitely. Dressing room cancer? Of course. Top 5 wide reciever in the league when he actually plays? You know it.
I clicked on this thread and thought to myself that I'd see his name for sure in the first 5 posts. I called that one.

Good for you. In the future though try to dispute the points being made with some actual arguments as opposed to telling someone they don't know ANYTHING about football.

Randy Moss. Quits on half the balls thrown to him. At least you know TO will go all out every play.

How about the fact that T.O drops WAY more balls than he should as evidence of him being overrated. I watched ALOT of Niners games when Garcia was the QB and ALOT of Eagles games due to my buddy being a fan.
If I could have any WR in the NFL play for my team: Tory "Big Game" Holt. Surest hands in the NFL / most consistant receiver hands down.

Im as disturbed by Owens as anyone else...but how can you call him over rated??
When playing, he is simply one of the more prolific producers in the game.
Over 10,000 yards and over 100 TD's.....is about as good as it gets in the league right now.
Add onto that, his ability to hang on to the ball and there is little to complain about his ON field play IMO.
And how can ANYONE call Urlacher over rated? Simply the best middle LB in the game....and that was according to one of the best to ever play it in Lawrence Taylor.

OK I apologize for my first sentence. It was a little blunt. But there weren't a whole lot of valid arguments in the post I attacked at first.
The guy's numbers speak for themselves. I don't see how that can be disputed. He has the size, the speed, and the hands that most wide receivers in the league only dream of having.
He is definitely in the same echelon as Torii Holt and Steve Smith as the best in the game today.

Charles Woodson - got paid for the hype he never lived up too, and for the past couple of seasons he has been sulking.
And while I HATE T.O. (im a 49ers fan), when he wants to play he is anything but overrated.
I think there are many players that can be considered overrated when they have off years, but the ones who have never played up to their reputation or paycheck are the ones I think of when I hear overrated.
