Where's the Hart mansion?
Simple question, as title implies: where is the Hart mansion located?
I just saw a story about it and went surfing for info, but couldn't find the actual address...I want to look it up on Google maps and see what the property looks like. Any help would be appreciated.

It's in Patterson, just down the hill (towards Sarcee Trail) from where the CFCN station is located.

Does anyone know what kind of wrestling boots he wears?
(I kid, I kid!)
Actually, I would love to see what his pad looks like. I bet it's better than mine.

I grew up riding my bike past that house.
Directions:
Get onto Westbound Bow Trail
Turn right at Old Banff Coach Road
Turn right at the Shell/7-11
Next right after the community centre
Follow this road it's on the left.

Thanks amigos...I had no bloody clue that was there. I figured it was closer to the inner city (e.g. Mt. Royal)...it was a real rural mansion when it was built.

What's going on over there? I heard a little snippet on the radio news this morning about a big fight between the residences there and the developers, and a quote from one of the Hart boys about how his dad would be disgusted to see what's happening.

I remember its kind of close to my cousin's house in Strathcona. I have driven buy it a couple times. It's a big older style house with lots of property and a wrestling ring in the back yard.
My cousin also lives across the street from Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart. I've seen him get his paper with a bathrobe in the morning, pretty funny not see him in pink and black spandex.

That's a little harsh. It is quite possible that the developers and Stu Hart had a gentlemen's agreement regarding the sale of the property. It is also quite possible that the developers have no memory of such an agreement.

I totally agree. I would never trust a verbal agreement to be reliable especially with a land developer. Most of them would would steal cookies from a girl guide if it was the deal breaker between them making $1,000,000 or $1,000,001.

They sold that land?? Booooo, I live and have lived in the area pretty much my whole life. Seen every hart one time or another. That's a civic historical site IMO, can't believe they sold it...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they sold it on the premise the history would be preserved.
A story from last August on the sale and the rough terms:

Hold on. I believe the issue, or at least what I heard on the TV, is the developer wants to build 20 townhouse (buildings) around the Hart House and the residents in the community are concerned about the density and traffic.
He's not going to bulldose the house down or anything. Developer says he needs to do this to fund renovations to the house. I guess he wants to remodel the dungeon.
