Default The Fallen Four

Nearly a year has passed since the loss of the four Mounties near Mayerthorpe, and all of these television, radio, and print specials about the tragedy are bringing back all of the terrible memories of that day. This, along with 9/11, are among the events that I remember exactly where I was when I found out. Listening to interviews with the families of the police officers are just heartbreaking. I can't imagine what they have gone through, and my thoughts remain with them.

The Edmonton Journal has done a big piece on it, found here: http://www.canada.com/edmontonjourna...wn/index.html#

And 630 CHED in Edmonton is doing a series of shows on the tragedy as well: http://630ched.com/news/news_local.c...news_local.cfm

I am very thankful to all the police officers who serve this country, and my eternal gratitude goes out to those have have given their lives in order to "maintain the right" in Canada.
