Default *spoiler* Short track- Women's relay

Women's 3000m relay-
Silver!
An exciting race... and a good day for Canada so far. With this medal, we surpass our total from SLC '02.

Good race, gutsy and aggressive effort from the women to take the silver

Without the women Canada would be having a terrible Olympics

No doubt about that. Outside of the two guys in Skeleton and Leuders have any Canadian men won a medal?

Thank god Europeans make their women stay home to make meals, and raise kids instead of letting them go out to become athletes.

At the end of the day this will go down as an OK olympics, the men's hockey team notwithstanding.

You basically have two factors in terms of olympic success.

1. Sending a team with a number of realistic medal opportunities as opposed to relying on upsets/surprises to get your hardware
2. Conversion of those opportunities into medals

We had a great team with regards to #1. I can't recall another olympics where we had so many chances to win.

However, we did not do well with #2. If we can convert more of our chances into medals, then we'd really start to make some noise.

We won a silver in men's team pursuit as well and Jeffrey Buttle won a bronze in figure skating.

You're counting Buttle as a man?

Actually I gotta give Buttle props for coming back from being dead and burried to get a medal. It takes guts to screw up that bad in the first lag of a two part competition and fight your way back.
