Jets sign blueliner
Jets GM Walsh told media today that the club has signed 19 year old defenceman Paul Albers of the Vancouver Giants in the WHL.
"Paul has really developed into a fine young blueliner, he has a great shot and his offensive production is something that sparked our in interest in him" Walsh said. Albers is currently second in the WHL in defenceman scoring with 52 points including 16 goals.
We would like to thank Paul and his agent Quan Rep for the easy negotiations.
