Default Propery Line Question

Thought I must ask the wisdom that is CalgaryPuck.

I am looking at buying an 8'x8' shed, and I currently have 8' from my house to the edge of my property. Am I able to put this shed up knowing that it will be right on the edge of my nieghbours and my propery? It is along the side of the house and will in no way affect any views or sunlight.

Can anyone lend me thier comments?

a required 0.6 metre side yard can be reduced to 0.0 metres if there
is no overhang into the adjacent property; the exterior of the wall is
constructed of maintenance free materials; and the wall is fire rated.

Now, that is for garages, I think a shed is different if it isn't a permanant structure; ie no foundation.

I'll keep digging.

Also can be a problem when you go to sell the house. I've heard the city is starting to use it as a cash grab. If they find anything too close to the property line when you sell the house you have to pay for a leave or something like that. Could cost you like $500-$600 for no reason at all, not a ton of money but still....

Is this a portable shed, or is it going to be fixed to the ground?

Survey companies that do Real Property Reports can probably advise you where to build.

I don't know if it is portable, but it will be easy to setup and take down, Ie all I have to to is put the walls up and roof on (it is the shed at costco if anyone is wondering)

Also I wont be pouring any concrete or anything
