I'm not sure if there are any quail in Alberta.
Nevertheless I started a club here at school called QUAIL (Queen's University Albertans in Law), and it has grown to be one of the most populous and active clubs in the faculty. So that's what a quail is.
EDIT: Whoops I missed the pop-culture reference. I'll wait til Wedding Crashers is on tv.

Its called an "accident." Of course, something like this has never happened in Canada, Great Britain or any of the other countries that have restrictions on guns.  Its idiots like you that take stories like these and turn them into such implacable comparisons that one cannot understand what the hell you were thinking. Much like the Gretzky case.

The VP has a hunting accident and a picture of Charlton Heston holding up a musket is supposed to have some obvious relevance?
BTW, the NRA (which I despise even though I'm a sportsman) is a powerful lobby with BOTH parties.
