Oh Ya, Med Head Ed and *I like the IR better than the nets* Khabi would be an upgrade over 11th in the NHL in GAA John Grahame.
Come on over for a beer, lets talk.

ITS OFFICIAL
PREDS ACQUIRE BELFOUR AND KHABIBULIN
The Nashville Predators acquired the two tenders from the Hawks for defenceman Adrian Aucoin(I like IR more than Bulin wall) and John "I just flat out SUCK" Grahame and phenom prospect Richard Stehlik.
"This move puts a WALL in our goal, so even without defenceman Jovonovski and Eminger the Preds will win, and win BIG," guranteed GM Schum, pulling a page out of idiot Waddell's book.
Preds do NOT wish any kind of luck to Aucoin and Grahame.

There is absolutely no question that there was no love lost between MedHead Ed and the Hawks management. Could Grahame be worse than Eddie? No way on earth.
Hawks GM Becky reasoned
Quote:
I think Grahame will play better than Eddie did, Khabi is injured, next year Grahme should at least equal Khabi in rating, and MedHead will be gone and Aucoin will still be playing...
|
That reasoning, coupled with the late night hour and advanced age made this deal seem pretty good. We feel the Bulin Wall will be extremely huge for the Preds while he is on IR. It is impossible to tell which GM was more under the influence in this deal.

The news was still very hot in Pred Land, the fans were estatic to acquire two number one goaltenders. The Preds fans know that Eddie is a stop gap till Bulin Wall gets healthy.
"While Khabi will get healthy and ready by the playoffs, Aucoin will still be sniffing the gluw on the IR." said GM Schum.
The Preds GM had a big smile after watching Grahame allow 4 goals on 22 shots, get yanked and put back in at the NHL level. "He wont be rated as high as Khabi, Hawks GM needs to pass over the pipe." chuckled GM Schum.

Khabi is going to take a big ole nose dive in the ratings. Check his NHL stats, he flat out sucks. GAA and Save % don't change just because you are on IR. They still reside at the bottom of the page for the *Wall*
Quick, call the Little Dutch Boy, there is a leak in the Wall!

Lets take a look...
-Stanley Cup Winning Goaltender(acyually won it, wasnt the backup)
-signs with a HORRENDOUS team, in the NHL. (DONT WORRY NHL HAWKS, THE CPHL HAWKS ARENT ANY BETTER )
-has a bad year on that Horrendous team.
-Gets hurt.
Shouldnt be a nosedive.

Ratings don't take nose dives based on one poor season.

What about for players playing in Europe? There seem to be a ton of them and I have 3-4 on my team alone. Will they stay about the same, decrease slightly or something else (in general terms obviously each player is different but, as a basic rule?)?

I was afraid of that...
It makes it a bit of a gamble when trying to decide whether to keep a player when there is no idea of what his ratings will do next year...

Well, the only uncertainty regarding re-rates are the ones concerning players in Europe... For all other guys, you can get a pretty good idea of how they'll re-rate by looking at their CPHL stats coupled with their NHL ones.

Agreed...it is just that there are a larger than normal number of players in Europe this year. I would expect a few of them will return next year as commitments are met...It will be "interesting" to see how this resolves itself...
