Flames make a very minor deal in comparison...
to yesterday's blockbusters...
Flames acquire Alexei Zhamnov from the Nashville Predators in exchange for G. Danny Sabourin and the 2006 first round pick.
Flames feel that this year's draft will be a weak one and that Calgary's pick will hopefully be near the bottom of the first round.
We dont feel that we have overpaid for Zhamnov's services for the playoffs and we are hoping that once he gets back from the IR, he will help Calgary in its quest for the Holy Grail.
