It should be not be suprising that a loss to Roman Chechmanek and the SJ Sharks pushed Wild GM Farhall over the edge.
Farhall emerged from the lockeroom of his team after the 2-1 setback and spoke briefly with the media. However, due to the incredible number of profanities that laced the comments, none of them are printable.
Farhall then immediately locked himself in his office for the evening consumating a deal with the Panthers that is among the league's largest in history.

A clearly exhausted GM Farhall met with the media Wednesday night and gave his thoughts on the deal.
"Well, first we get arguably the best player in the league with Iginla. On defense we think we improve our top pairing bringing in two great playres in McCabe and Ohlund. Our 2nd pairing takes a bit of a hit, however we think we improve our 5/6 pairing particularly when coupled with the deal we made yesterday to bring in Todd Simpson. We also get a bit of depth up front in case of injuries with some vets that can play a few different roles for us".
Ultimately Farhall admitted he wasn't sure if he had improved the team or just changed it, but that change was indeed required.
"You get to a point where you lose faith in the makeup of your team. Clearly we had a lot of talent but ZERO chemistry. We'll see what happens. There are some other players in that lockeroom that are hopefully thankful that they are still hear and will take this as a wakeup call".
Farhall announced that for the time being the team will not have a captain but will rather alternate As between Jason Spezza, Dan McGillis, Mats Sundin, and Jarome Iginla. Farhall noted that a captain would be chosen when a player steps up to deserve it.
