Default Pairs Figure Skating

ok, I'll admit it.

I love pairs figure skating.

It is one of my favorite Olympic Sports. Probably next after hockey - including Summer Olympics. I don't mind singles and have little use for Ice Dance, but pairs figure skating is ...... I don't know .... fantastic.

It started with Isabelle Braseur and Lloyd Eisler and has continued from there. Do I know all the names of all the teams? No, do I keep track of the world rankings? No. If I am flipping channels and it comes on, will I stop and watch it? Absolutely.

Anyone else?

No, but I do enjoy watching almost every other Olympic sport, especially on CBC.

I can't really get into CBC's Sport Saturday WC skiing events or Freestyle, or BSELD/LUGE...but come Olympic Time, I have no problem watching 5-10KM CC skiing and everything else I wouldn't bother to watch for the past 206 weeks since Salt Lake.

CBC because they do seem to show a lot more running raw LIVE coverage...not packing everything into a neat marketable package like NBC does, usually on time delay.

That said, with things in Europe this year, it will be very late night/early morning here when most of the live coverage is on.

Killer C a Figure skating fan? Wow! Now if Figure Skating was a full contact sport I might be interested.
I can see it now...British judge gives poor marks and Russian pairs duo skates over and does a triple sowkow on judges head!

Blech I despise that particular event...especially as a sport that is sooooo poorly judged.

No question I certainly appreciate the athleticism involved along with a high degree of danger.

I will watch the better teams in the bigger competitions, but i wont seek it out.
