What type of skiing are you looking for?
Fernie is getting pounded right now, but the avi levels are pretty high. Expect a lot of closures if it keeps up due to the temperature variations in the snowpack, and a pretty weak layer about 50cms below current snow that hasn't quite settled. Not to mention all the crowds.
Castle is pretty good right now....I've been sledding/riding the last few weekends down there and the snow pack is generally pretty stable. They're not getting as much snow as Fernie but with the winds that blow through there the chutes are still pretty good. Avoid it on the weekends though....major crowd problems the last month.
Sunshine/Louise have both been getting loads of snow, so if you're looking to spend $70 on lift and hang out with the rest of the yeti's wearing snow camo then this might be a good bet. Personally, I wouldn't ride those resorts unless it was free but from what I hear they both have good coverage and pretty amazing conditions.
Mid week I'd be heading to Castle, Weekend warriors hit Fernie. Castle is way too crowded on weekends and you'll end up standing in lift lines more than riding. Fernie has high speed quads all over the place, and although it gets raped really quick at least you can still find stashes that the average joe won't be looking for.
