Stating that there has been a marked upturn in the press coverage of something brewing in Iran, a traditional enemy of both Iraq and the US. Along with this is the fact that Isreal has recently made a purchase with the US for some longer range fighters, and they have been sabre rattling with Iran in recent weeks about thier nuclear program as well. So, I know what will happen here, but it's interesting it's being talked about in this fashion at this juncture.

Anyway here is a link to the article.

I can't wait for hockey season to start.

Sale of Long Distance Bombers
Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi said Iran has not resumed enriching uranium but restarted work on centrifuges in response to the failure of Britain, Germany and France to help close Iran's nuclear dossier in June.

Basically they're saying: "Stop investigating us or we'll build nuclear bombs."

With the current situation in Iraq, would it not be a little foolish of the Americans to wage war against yet another nation?

If subduing 27 million Iraqi's is so easy, how hard could it be to conquer 72 million Iranians?!!!

Nothing big is going to happen to Iran although you could certainly envision Israeli's blowing up nuke facilities or the USA trying to corner Iran diplomatically.

One of the interesting after effects of Iran becoming a nuclear power is that it would also become a nuclear target, a place in the Muslim world to legitimately shoot at with nuclear weapons if something radiological happened in Manhattan.

And if they aren't investigated they will stop making nukes???

Thats whats so funny about these "threats" from countries like this and Iraq.

Anyone think Iraq STOPPED making WMD when they kicked out inspectors for 4 years?? Why would they fer chrissakes when it became easier to do so?
