• On Sept. 25, the festival will premiere Crazy Canucks, produced and directed by Randy Bradshaw of Alberta Filmworks. It depicts the true story of how Ken Read, Steve Podborski, Jim Hunter, Dave Irwin and Dave Murray exploded onto the world ski-racing scene in the mid-’70s.
“I hope the film has a special resonance for people in this part of the world. Three of the five principals reside (in the Calgary area),” Bradshaw says.
