Default Pumpkins to reunite?

The rumours are suggesting a Smashing Pumpkins reunion for a series of shows this summer.

Billy Corgan's voice is annoying, and gets on my nerves... please NO.

What's next a Spice Girl's reunion?

I liked them back in the day, but Billy is too much of a control freak to be in a band.

I'm still laughing about him being booed off the stage when he was on a solo tour last year for refusing to do Pumpkin songs. Newsflash Billy - you're a scary bald guy and your solo work sucks.

The Pumpkins were pretty much a solo project. I think he controlled every aspect and played all the instruments on the recordings.

The only thing I like about the Smashing Pumpkins is the thought of kicking them in the melons!

Worked graveyards for several years, and it seemed like every half hour on CJay92, there it was the lyric "The killer in me is the killer in yooouuuuuuu...."

Brutal.

When Corgan wrote the lyrics to Siamese Dream he was contemplating suicide, so lyrics like " the killer in me" shouldn't come as a surprise.

I've always had him pegged as one of the most innovative artists and talented lyricists of his generation.

And troutman you are right, he recorded every instrument on many of the albums, except for the Drums.

Corgan's biggest problem with the general public has been that he feels the need to do something completely different on each album, and most people like consistency.

The pumpkins are probably one of the most polar bands of 90s...Those who love them love them a lot, and those who don't hate it (for the most part).

Corgan brought a lot of that on himself with his ego, which I think is too bad because IMO there is something special in his music.
