Exclamation All Star voting

Alright GMs...its time to get your nominations in again!

Heres the way it works for those of you who are new at it.

Each GM nominates 3 players at each forward position, C, LW, RW and 6 Defencemen. 2 - Goalies will be selected by GMs and 1- by Commissioners with the highest vote getter the starter. The other 2 goalies will take part in All Star skill tests. We will then take those nominations and break the best or most voted for players into groups for GMs to make final selections on.

The Commissioners will make selections for the 4th spot on all forward positions one goalie and the final 2 defencemen.

This year we will also do a Rookie All Star game....so as with the selections above all first year players can be selected in the same way .

The nominations via email will close on Wednesday January 18th at noon MST or 2pm EST. The league will then post the best 4-6 players at each position in Poll fashion for GMs to make final selections. Polls will be listed openly so we can watch that only our GMs and agents can vote for players. Final Player selections will be announced on Wednesday January 25th. All Star games will be on Sunday January 29th...Rookie game in the morning and Pro game in the afternoon. Skills competition will be played on Saturday the 28th. Regular season games will be stopped on the 27th and resume on the 30th. There is no trade freeze during this time. (If a player is selected from one Conference and Traded to an opposing Conference after final selections he will still rep the Conference he was chosen in.) Please try NOT to trade players nominated for the game in order to avoid confusion.

You can use this thread to hype your players and beg for nominations..

Cheese, as you know right now rookies only include players that did not play a single game last year in the CPHL. Might I suggest for the all-star game only that we extend this to include anyone that has played 10 or less games? That will give us a much better rookie roster I think.

LUNGO should be one of the top goalies nominated just by the amount of trade offers I receive for him.

Jocelyn Thibault, although waived in the NHL, has been a HUGE part of the Isles' success this season.

2nd in the CPHL in save percentage at 0.907 is quite an accomplishment for Thibault considering he plays behind a 72AVG OV defense core on an Islander team that is 10th worst in the league in shots against allowing just under 29 per game.

Remember folks! Winning record of a goalie is more a reflection of the team in front of him than the quality of the goalie!

Save percentage... save percentage!!

Thibault for ALL STAR!

Henrik Zetterberg 17G 37A 54P +22

Not at all bad for a 73 OV guy

In the rookie department, Jussi Jokinen is tearing up the CPHL as he is the NHL.

The Jets would like you to consider Center Petr Cajanek as an all star for the Howe Conference.

Cajanek currently has 15 Goals, 39 Assists for 54 Points. That makes Petr the 3rd highest scoring center in the Howe Conference.

Also, Rick DiPietro should get some consideration. He may not have the numbers that some of the other tenders have but where would the Jets be without their expansion draft steal?

42GP, 2344Mins, 20W, 15L, 5T, 1SO, 3.28GAA, .883S%
