Should I Even Watch TV Anymore?
With the cancellation of Arrested Development, Kitchen Confidential and The OC sucking is there any reason why I should watch TV anymore?
The shows that I actually like never seem to go anywhere. I really liked Kitchen Confidential.
Someone tell me one reason why I should watch TV anymore.

And yet shows like "The War at Home" seem to survive.
I still like to watch "House", and I watch "Corner Gas" (when it is new, holy OD on the reruns lately), but beyond those it is usually only sports and the occassional movie I watch.

I rarely watch network TV anymore; other than sports. Pretty much the only show I watch is Lost, and if you want to get into it tonight is the night; before the new episode they are spending an hour getting everybody up to speed on the last season and a half.
Between all the different Discovery Channels I have right now; there's always something on about how they build millitary aircraft, big ships, buildings, etc.

The one show I still make a point of watching is The Office. Other than that, I just watch discovery, tlc, hockey, etc. imo, tv is rather unexciting these days.

Except for Survivor or Apprentice and Corner Gas, I rarely watch regular network television . . . . and never have watched Arrested Development, The OC, CSI, etc. . . .
For me, programs of interest:
Pilot Guides on OLN
Daisy Does America on TBS is pretty funny but I read a few days it might not last long.
Gunsmoke, Roy Rogers, Annie Oakley, etc, etc. re-runs on Lonestar . . . . love those crappy old shows from the 50's!!
Old re-runs from the 60's and 70's on Deja-vu like Get Smart.
Battlestar Galactica, of course, on Space . . . . although, in fairness, that's mostly on DVD where I'm watching, not Space.
Reliable Sources, media critic Howard Kurtz of the Washington Post on CNN on Sunday morning is a pretty good, albeit obscure, show.
Some of the programs looking into various emergency wards around the USA on The Learning Channel are pretty fascinating in a ghoulish, voyeuristic way.
Any BBC newscast will give you a video look at obscure countries and situations you probably won't see on American or Canadian newscasts.
Seinfeld re-runs and the occasional Simpson or Family Guy.

You could watch Dog The Bounty Hunter on A&E
and sometime, in the not so near future there will be a Star Wars TV series too.
Seriously though, I love Law & Order: SVU and to a lesser extent Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
A show that I truly miss and wish they would've given a better chance was Boomtown. I thought it was doing good on Sundays and then they gave it the kiss of death by moving it to Friday night when nobody watches TV.

I like Prison Break, 24, House, Lost, Weeds, Battlestar Galactica and Entourage. I'm holding out hope this new "bad girl" coming to the OC will pick things up too!

I lost all interest with network television when they cancelled "Green Acres".
Some shows worth taking a look at:
Battlestar Gallactica
Lost
Surface
Boston Legal
American Choppers

Another awesome show is The 4400
Basic premise is this: the show starts with everybody going to see this comet that is supposed to do a close flyby. But it changes course and is suddenly headed for Earth. As it enters the atmosphere it slows down, and soft lands just outside of Seattle. Suddenly with a flash of light the "comet" disappears, and standing there are 4400 people who had all been "abducted by aliens" over the last 60 years. Many of them end up with funky powers.
I can't wait for season 3 to start this summer. Season 1 is available on DVD, and I think Space is showing reruns.

The Law and Orders, CSI, and CSI: NY, plus famliy guy and the odd south park. I think the greatest thing to happen to TV was the PVR system. Now I watch when I want minus the comercials (Love time shifting).
Other then a few things here and there the only reason I love TV so much is because of sports.

This pretty much sums up my Daily TV from 10-12.
If I stay up till Midnight, I'll watch the Daily Show, then the Colbert Report.

Entourage is a personal favorite of mine, Kevin Dillon and Jeremy Piven make this show incredible. Kenny vs Spenny is a really funny show, it's on Showcase on Sundays I believe, pits 2 roommates against eachother in stupid competitions (who can stay silent the longest etc.). Reno 911 is also a vastly underrated show that I really like, and Stella is a good show just for the pure random stupidity factor.
Another couple I watch regularly are Lost and "How I Met Your Mother"...that one only because Neil Patrick Harris is awesome.
EDIT: I should state that Arrested Development tops my list as well, but everyone likes that show...

Arrested Development will be back on another network.
I can almost guarantee that now. I think Fox is in negotiations with ABC and Showtime.

Fox still hasn't officially canceled "Arrested Development," but if it does, other networks are interested in the show.
Both ABC and Showtime have had conversations with 20th Century Fox TV and indicated they're open to making a deal for new episodes of the critically beloved, Emmy-winning comedy from creator Mitch Hurwitz. No formal negotiations have taken place, and there are still numerous hurdles that might prevent such a move -- including the show's hefty pricetag.
That said, those familiar with the talks described them as serious, with Showtime said to be in particularly hot pursuit of the ratings-challenged laffer, now on life support at Fox.

I gave up on TV years ago. ER and My Name is Earl are all I really watch.

Yeah I find that I am watching less and less television lately. There were a few shows that I would watch each week, like House and Arrested Development, but now that Arrested Development is done and House is becoming a little formulaic, I don't have anything to watch other than Sens hockey, Sportscenter, and Family Guy. I do watch Myth Busters and other Discovery shows though when I manage to remember when they are on.

Mythbusters is one of the few things I actually watch anymore...but even those are a lot of repeats. The other things that sneak in every once in a while outside of hockey is Grey's Anatomy and one of the Law and Order's.. sometimes.
