'Weight off our shoulders': Flames can finally exhale after first regulation win

No matter where things go from here, and how hard it will be for the Flames to climb out of the hole they’ve been digging, it would be hard for anyone who has ever played a sport not to appreciate how good their first regulation win of the season must’ve felt.

Maple Leafs Could Be Without Two Key Forwards vs. Calgary Flames, Craig Berube Confirms

With a game Tuesday against the lowly Calgary Flames, it looks like we are going to see one return to the lineup, however it also involves another coming out.
According to head coach Craig Berube on Monday, the team might be getting Nylander back against the Flames, but will not have the services of Calle Jarnkrok after he injured his foot blocking a shot

Dustin Wolf's workload, scoring woes and rookies developing: 10 observations from the Flames' first 10 games

Dustin Wolf has played in nine of the Flames’ first 10 games this season.

Is that sustainable? If he played in 90% of their 82-game schedule, that would see him play either 73 or 74 games between now and mid-April, the most in a single season in the NHL since Cam Ward played 74 in 2010-11.

5 Things - Flames @ Maple Leafs

Know Your Enemy

The Leafs halted a three-game slump with a 4-3 overtime win against the Sabres in their last outing on Saturday.

John Tavares splayed the hero for Toronto, scoring his 499th career tally 1:28 into extra time at home, just a day after the Leafs were beaten by the Sabres 5-4 in Buffalo.

NHL Game Preview: Calgary Flames at Toronto Maple Leafs

Loving the early start ... on a Jay's mental hangover from watching all 18 innings. Will be nice to watch some hockey!

Yes ... but I need a quick cleanse of the mind to rid myself of the stink of losing that epic world series game. Not even mad, but it was there for the taking.

Go Jays go!

I think they've turned a corner, but this will probably be good reminder as to where the team still stands unfortunately.

Time for the Flames to exploit a vulnerable Leafs team and go on a winning streak, go Flames!

Probably. In the postgame video the Flames posted on Sunday, he can be seen sitting in his stall and he's not in a cast or showing any other visible injury.

In the Canucks game they showed him taking an uppercut in a scrum during the preseason game vs the Canucks. He left after that incident, so I am guess that a concussion is more than likely it. Since it has been almost a month I am thinking things are not going well.

Zary and Frost "aren't Centre's" [sic] according to "Western Hockey Scout" but he figures Pospisil and Kerins are the answer.

What I (and others) were most concerned about when it comes to Pospisil is exactly what happened. He plays a chippy game but can't/won't "answer the bell" so he leaves himself open to cheap shots from frustrated opponents.

Moved up from the original start time of 8pm EST to minimize overlap with the Jays game
