Default October 19 with four games.

Good morning, rise and shine everyone. There are 2 games
preceding the Blue Jays-Mariners game. Let's hope the Capitals
and Red Wings open a can/bottle of whoop ass on the Canucks
and Oilers. The Ducks-Bhawks game has former Bhawks coach
Quenneville returning to the United Centre,

Tom Wilson just ended Filip Chytil's career probably.

Clean hit but with Chytil's concussion history it didn't look good for him.

It was in the grey area of late or not, but Chytil just watching his pass with no sense of danger is why the hit was so devastating. It’s too bad because Chytil is an exciting player to watch.

It looked clean to me. I thought at first it could be charging because it looked like Wilson came a considerable distance to make the hit, but after watching the replay, he only took a couple of strides.

It's really a matter of whether you think it was late or not. I think that if it was 20 years ago, it wouldn't be, but now the timing is expected to be closer to the release of the puck. But it's borderline.

Regardless, if you're a guy with Chytil's history, you should be hyper aware that Wilson is on the ice and should not be admiring your pass like that.

... None of which changes the fact that the league would be a better place if Tom Wilson got hit by a car tomorrow, never to play another game.

That looks like it is a half a beat too late to me when you look at where Wilson and Chytil are when the puck leaves the Chytil's stick. Sucks to see a player get injured like that - especially with a concussion history and what we know about concussions and their impact on overall wellness post playing career.

Tom Wilson shouldn't be allowed to work at a ####ing car wash, nm be a millionaire in the NHL. All he does is injure people. Where is the ####ing useless PA protecting its own players?

The Wilson hit came just a tiny bit late, but also happens multiple times in games except the players in Chytil's position brace themselves and it ends up being nothing. Issue here was his concussion history and also not bracing for the hit after he made his pass.

Fairly good win for the Canucks, 9am start on the road with Boeser out against a decent opponent would usually be a lock for a loss

That was quite a sequence
Wings and Oilers went about 13 minutes without a whistle
Leon gets a clean breakaway to tie it and loses the puck compete
Wings get the open better soon after
