Default Flames lose to Golden Knights 4-2

A huge 2 momentum building Gavin points.

Strong game, Vegas talent took over. That Jack Eichel is somethin’

Just a few bad plays ending up in the back of our net, while we struggle to score even on wide open nets. Maddening.

Flames start out well in these games, but just can't keep it up. That was a terrible ending to this game. Nothing going. Frustrating.

I hate Vegas.

Flames definitely not gonna be like last season performing well above their talent. They're cheeks.

At least can possibly get a top 5 draft pick that's much needed.

That last two and a half minutes was something. Did we even get a shot?

Massive skill and effort gap between the two teams.

That was a great result. Keep playing tank commanders Miromanov and Bean!

A big 2 lottery points.

I don't know about effort. I think experience is what shone through there.

I was impressed with Huska's resolve to keep throwing Miromanov out there late into the third. He was baaaaad.

Morgan Frost is not a top sixer.

Can’t compete with the big dogs.

Ya pretty obvious we are going to draft fairly high.

When you have a 19 year old defence-man and 19 year old Griden out in the final few minutes of the game that’s all you need to know about the direction of the team. Hopefully a sign that we are building for the future this year and not another middle of the standings finish.

I will take these close/build up the youth losses all day.

Onto Utah!

Going to be really hard for Miromanov to see the ice again after that.

Only caught the 3rd (of course...) and the team looked completely lost at both ends.

Soft defensively, generated next to nothing, and no physical response to the cheapshot on Parekh. Disappointing and boring to watch.

I'd be fine if the wheels fall off this year, but I'd prefer watching a SJ style messy season. Next to no offense while making dumb mistakes defensively is just painful as a fan.

Flames can be competitive and hang with most teams on any given night. Problem is they basically have to play mistake free hockey and capitalize on the majority of their opportunities. The top tier talent (or lack thereof is evident). In this league you need a player who can completely takeover a game.

There has been quite a few things to like but ultimately not good enough. Hopefully the return of Huberdeau can help balance out the lines and add another dynamic to the PP.

The key for this team has been and will always be Wolf. And well he has been solid, there is still work to be done on his end. Some questionable goals he’s allowing that maybe would have been stopped last season. This team is very much still a big work in progress.

Now is the time to stack up losses. Send the message to Conroy, Conroy can act accordingly.

2026 is a massively important draft year for this teams goal of preparing for 2027. I’m all in on sacrificing 2025-2026.

With this coach and GM, Miro and Bean will always live to fight another day in Flames silks.

Are the Flames no longer doing the post game shows after home games?

We stayed in it for most of the game.
Its fun having the kids in and we need to keep building thriugh the top of the draft.

Let's hope this is what we get all year. Its the medicine we need right now
