A big HELLO! to all my friends here at CalPuck! Settling in for the season opener with my beloved Blackhawks. Wishing all you and your Flames the best of luck this season!
I have followed very little of the off/pre season stuff, and will be looking at this season with fresh eyes.
I had wondered if, now, having an NHL team locally would sway my team loyalties, but, living 144 miles from SLC, and dealing with the stupid NHL blackout policies, the Mammoth have not been an option, so...Let's Go Hawks!

Wait... You live in Utah and the NHL considers the Utah Mammoth out of market for you? I knew the blackout policies were dumb but good grief.

No, they are IN market, so ESPN Plus blacks them out, forcing them to local TV. Retired, I had to cut Direct TV as too expensive, and have no access to local channels in the rural area that I live. I can only follow games on ESPN Plus.

'Hawks caught the Panther D flat-footed as they were sloppy trying to hold the zone. A simple poke out led to break.
But, bad coverage by the 'Hawk D, leaves Greer alone in front of Knight. 1-1
