I liked Plett as a kid (he won the Calder in ATL years before the team moved here)... but for some reason he's in the group with LaVallee and Rautakallio for me. Guys that were around at the very begining when I was watching as many games as possible, but not really old enough to understand much.
I think the Tonelli trade was the start of me being able to understand more than just "lots of action and excitment" and things became more than just wanting to watch with my dad.
Plus I was a goalie... so Riggin -> Lemelin -> Vernon was kinda my trajectory, in terms of fan clubs and making sure I had all their cards and stickers etc.
(Roberts was the start of my ability to really appreciate players like that... and now they're easily my favourite type of player. Neely, Iggy, Forsberg... these are a few of my favourite things!)
