Default Calgarypuck Prospect Ranking 2025 - Round 36

Welcome to the annual Calgarypuck Prospect Poll!

As per usual ...

1. Rank the prospects as you like. Upside, chances, or trade value
2. I will try and do one a day which should get us to mid to late August
3. Graduates and/or runoffs will be determined in each case
4. Please don't complain that the polls are going to deep. We go until all the prospects are ranked, so don't vote if you don't want to.

At 24 he is a below average back up in the Russian AHL after a failed stint in the ECHL and AHL. Hes a non-prospect in every sense of the word.

I have Chechelev probably ranked last. He looked great at first in his draft +1 year - absurdly great, actually. Then everything just fell apart for him since then. Hopefully he finds success again and becomes a great goalie, but I have him ranked last (though Cicek is ahead by a hair at best for me).

I picked Say since the organization seems higher on him than we seem to be, as well as he seemed to have been progressing over the years apparently. Might be a very shrewd (and underappreciated) signing here.

Leander is next for me - 6'4" mobile defencemen. Stats don't look great, but looking back further, he seems to always progress, so maybe he just hasn't had the opportunity to produce at that level yet? This was the kid that the scouts were arguing over about with Matveiko, right? Hopefully he progresses this upcoming season and takes off in the rankings next year!

I am basically out at this point. Don't really know much about any of these players now.

If it makes you feel better I voted Owen Say, forgetting he's a goalie until just now.

So that's the level of knowledge you need to have to participate!

Leander is the youngest player on the list by 3 years. He gets my vote for that reason alone.

Say>Leander>Cicek>Littler>Chechelev feels like the correct order remaining

I have Littler ahead of Cicek. Cicek is a 25 year old career AHLer, Littler is 21 going into his second season in the NCAA on a very deep team.

I think there is more runway for Littler, where as Cicek is likely just depth if we lose 1 of Solovyov, Kuznetsov or Poirer on waivers.

At this point I just do what Sandman does. Looks like we're going Say.
