I think he can be better than your average 4th line center; hope he makes the team

This is one of our kids that I'm really rooting for. I hope him and Kirkland battle it out all year for that fourth line centre spot.

No need to go into UFA market for 4th line center. Morton should be able to handle it.

It could very well be Pospisil to start the year, if that doesn't work then Costco. I'm pretty sure that Kerins becomes waiver eligible, so he probably needs an opportunity as well.
Huberdeau - Kadri - Zary
Coleman - Backlund - Coronato
Farabee - Frost - Sharangovich
Lomberg - Pospisil - Klapka
Kirkland / Kerins / Morton - take your pick.
That's why I'm hopeful the Flames manage to generate some assets by moving a forward or two.

Flames definitely don't need to dip into free agency for a 4th line center. Between Morton, King, Kirkland and even Pospisil, there should be enough depth there.
Hopefully Morton or King grab this opportunity.

I hope we see Morton a lot more this season, I think he fits well in the target age range with NHL skills. He could carve himself a solid bottom 6 role on this team as it develops.
