Default Real estate lawyer question

Any real estate lawyers here that I can ask a question to? Had a recent issue on a purchase and current law firm represented both parties

Might need to pursue damages post possession

Please send dm with co tact information if I can pose a few questions

Gonna jump on your post if that’s okay and also ask if anyone knows any real estate litigators. Neighbouring infill construction did significant damage to my property and builder is making no effort to repair or make a plan.

We used Kristie at Kristie Errico <kristie@westsidelaw.ca>. She was excellent and when the deal started to slide sideways she yanked the chain of the other realtor and lawyer and brought them back into line and we closed as planned.

Very nice and easy to work with but can go bull dog if needed. She may know some real estate litigators as well.

If same lawyer represented both sides, then there should have been a piece of paper you signed that said in the event of disagreement of something, both sides have to immediately choose another lawyer to hash it out. Lawyer is not supposed to continue with either side in the event there's a sniff of some type of disagreement.

No suggestions on lawyer that specializes in this. I just have done a few deals where same lawyer for both sides and I'm familiar with that clause.

I assume you have summaries and supporting images/multiple communications and date stamps proving such a claim? Again, no suggestion on who to go to, just saying that if you have stuff like this up front, it might be easier to figure out what options are available right from the get go when you find someone to discuss it with.

I’d be wrecking some stuff after hours 100%. That’s what troutman would suggest for sure, and post the builders name and the address here.

Define significant.

Small Claims can handle claims up to $100K.
