Getting Hague to sign him long term and have a bunch of Dmen signed for 5+ years doesn’t make sense for the Flames. If they can get a guy a couple years younger like Byram than sure but Hague? No thanks. Let’s get more 2026 1sts

Vegas has their own 28 year old C entering the last year of his contract. Flames will take your pending UFA forward for our pending UFA defenseman. We'll even give them back their 2026 1st cause we're so nice and helpful.

FWIW Dreger said the package for Andersson needs to be primarily future driven. So if true, makes Vegas a poor match.

But also interested in cost controlled younger assets and rfas have been mentioned.
If Tre can acquire Hague’s rights in a Marner deal, can he in turn come to us with Easton and Hague as a start point?

Especially true because an 'intra-Divisional' trade would probably require a premium as well which, as you said, would make Vegas a poor match.
