Default Calgarypuck Prospect Ranking 2025 - Round 29

Welcome to the annual Calgarypuck Prospect Poll!

As per usual ...

1. Rank the prospects as you like. Upside, chances, or trade value
2. I will try and do one a day which should get us to mid to late August
3. Graduates and/or runoffs will be determined in each case
4. Please don't complain that the polls are going to deep. We go until all the prospects are ranked, so don't vote if you don't want to.

A big guy that can move and dangle like Laing at round 29? I think he will move up the charts in the next year or two here.

Parker Bell. 6’5”, skates like the wind, plays a nice physical game. Probably should be a lot higher in the ratings. He could potentially grab a spot in the bottom-six in the next year or two, with the potential to work his way up the lineup a bit, as he has pretty good hands. Hopefully, he’ll get more of a chance this season to showcase himself with the Wranglers.

I am not qualified to vote for any of these guys, so am just voting for Yegor Yegorov because of his name.

Axel Hurtig here for me. 6'5" and 209 and just turned 20 a few weeks ago. Has been on both the U18 and World Junior teams for Sweden, winning medals each time. Plays a really strong defensive game (+39 in 55 games last year with the Hitmen, despite only getting 16 points) and is fairly physical. Almost no offense whatsoever, but he does defend well it seems.

Big year coming up for him on the Wranglers. I hope he gets some playing time to develop more.

I was very close to also picking Owen Say. Free agent college goalie signing who has worked his way up from some low end junior leagues to one of the bigger NCAA conferences when he played with Notre Dame last year. His numbers have improved every single year and is just entering the prime years for a goaltender to develop. He might be a sleeper prospect.

Ciona here. Has a decent chance to be a 4th liner.
