Default Going to Lake Louise next week - parking help

I am trying to take some family visitors to Banff and Lake Louise next week, while Banff is pretty easy to navigate and find parking, etc. That's not the case for Lake Louise (and Morraine Lake) this time of the year.

I checked the Parks Canada site, it seems that there is NO shuttle buses from the Highway 1 parking lot to either Lake Louise or Morraine Lake right now. No buses until mid-May.

How can I get there right now? Is there parking up at the lake by the hotel?

Morraine Lake road is closed for winters. If you want to go before the May opening you have to XC ski in.

There is a decent size parking lot at Lake Louise, it's going to depend on events, day, time etc if you can find a spot. If you are mid week you should be OK. Here's the LL lot:

There is a lot of parking up there for this time of year. Last time I was up there however there was a ton of snow and people were stuck all over the upper parking lot which wasn’t plowed. About 25 cars just buried themselves so it was quite the show.

If the Lake Louise parking lot is full there is a small picnic area just after the Moraine Lake road on the right hand side that should have parking. It might be a 1 km walk to Lake Louise from there.

Its in the shop, I was looking up Fuzz's cross-country skiing routes and planning to take my industrial ski-doo there. Just tear those trails apart.

Its got a little bit of a fuel leak on it, but if you strap some extra fuel cans to it in order to keep topping it up then you hardly even notice.

If you mean the Divide trail that parking lot is closed right now for the fire break construction.
