Default Intel Macs released today.

All over the web, new intel based iMac and laptop computers were released today. Dual core processors.

http://www.apple.com/ca/macbookpro/

Mildly amusing when Jobs trumpeted that the new models were 2-3 and 3-5 times faster than the models they replace (which are still on sale aren't they?).

Prices aren't great but aren't bad, laptop prices are a bit better than the iMac prices. The laptop is very tempting, will have to look at it the next time my laptop needs upgrading.

Best news is looks like they'll be dual-boot with Windows capable, so people can have the best of both worlds if they so choose:

And a fun switch video:

Very happy they got the new PBooks out. Somewhat dissapointed with:

- 4X Superdrive ($2500 laptop should not have as crappy of a burner as this)
- No mention of battery life.

Apart from that, quite exciting. As I usually do though, I will await for a Rev. B or C version til they get the bugs out.

I will probably buy a PowerMac G5 here in the next little bit though, as Im sure people will start hawking them once the new Pro Line is out.

Pretty nice. Dual booting would be really cool. I'll get 1 one day.

I like the idea of a dual boot.. I wonder how easy that would be to set up though

Design looks cool too. Same basic shape but nice charcoal grey colour

If someone wanted to start a business setting up non-technie's Mac for dual-booting they could probably do pretty well for the next little while.
