Does your stats site provide what the numbers are when the Flames get a lead? Would be interesting to see and put to bed that Huska changes the system when we get a 1 goal lead.

Do people think "ref you suck" is actually going to make the ref sit and reflect on his work?

Yes, but the chants seem silly and ill advised.

IDK, refs seem to find a call after an egregious miss and the crowd getting on them. I actually think we don't have enough of that at the dome.

Klapka was in beast mode again. I hope he can keep it going.

Is there an arena in the league where the refs haven't heard that chant from the hometown fans?

Total agree on the ref you suck chant. So trashy. Just boo if you don’t like a call.

You just say that because it didn't work for you in court when you tried it on the judge.

How about we chant " its all your fault " 3 times while standing and then sit down slowly with thumbs down.

Or Go refs Go ....Go refs Go....let em known were there!!!

We could be a pretty fun crowd . Just like in Nashville.

That's my view too.

And I don't even mind the escalation on a brutal missed call or a call that impacts the game massively.

Brayden Pachal breaking his stick crosschecking a Duck forward may not be that time.

Top Ten Pick:

Flames can no longer achieve a top ten pick, they'd need -1 points the rest of the way.

Playoff Spot:

They live to see another day but still need to run the table. Need some Minny losses.

6-0-1 to best Minny on their current pace. Can still catch St. Louis at their pace at 7-0-0.

Draft Position:

Worst case eliminated (11th)
12-14 very unlikely
15-16 getting less likely
17th a good bet?

Code:
Draft	Spot	Win %	Pace	Now	Tie	%
11	22	0.507	83.1	84	-1	-0.071
12	21	0.520	85.3	84	1	0.071
13	20	0.526	86.3	84	2	0.143
14	19	0.527	86.4	84	2	0.143
15	18	0.540	88.6	84	5	0.357
16	17	0.540	88.6	84	5	0.357
17	16	0.560	91.8	84	8	0.571
18	15	0.572	93.9	84	10	0.714
19	14	0.573	94.0	84	10	0.714
20	13	0.586	96.0	84	12	0.857
21	12	0.591	96.9	84	13	0.929

the top line of Nazem Kadri, Martin Pospisil and Yegor Sharangovich all in the 40s
My eyes tell me Sharangovich is dragging that line down. Is this supported by the numbers? Sharangovich is driving me crazy this year.

Pretty good bet.

He's played 50 or more minutes with 9 different forwards this year.

Farabee, Backlund and Zary (tiny) get a lift with Sharangovich. The rest have their numbers down when he's on the ice with them.

Frost lost 12.5% in xGF% playing with Sharangovich ... 37.8% with and 50.2% without.

Pospisil impacted 7%
Kadri 4%

The only issue is that it seems silly and pointless and accomplishes nothing. The fact every fan base does it only reinforces it. Very fanbase also does the wave.

I mean its entertainment. People complain when the Dome is quiet.

If the refs actually knew how to do their job, they wouldn't be hearing they suck.

Other leagues punish officials. Not in the NHL, they are praised and coddled.

I don't see how the Flames could reasonably pick 17th - in fact the probability of winning the Stanley Cup is probably higher than picking 17th at this point.

Is the easiest path to achieving that not:
- Wild lose every game in regulation, finishing with 89 points.
- The Flames tie the wild at 89 points but with more RW wins, taking the last West playoff spot.
- The Canadiens cannot finish with exactly 89 points and win tie-breaker so would need at least 90, or 9 points in their remaining 7 games.
Any other iterations become increasingly more improbable.

So you thought the stick breaking over someone from Pachal shouldn't have been a penalty?
