Yep. He belongs at the bottom of the rankings. When just paying the bills is the best thing an owner has going for him, this is where he belongs.

Does Edwards even go to games?

Well, TBH, the "willingness to spend" is pure fantasy, given that the Flames have spent to the cap pretty much every season before this one, and that not spending to the cap was a deliberate strategy this season.

If it’s a battle of vision, Conroy loses.

Well it’s not clear if it’s just player salary. Can include training staff coaching food etc.

Stamps owned by them got horrible reviews. Serving pro athletes corn flakes for breakfast and cold sandwich and pizza for after practice.

I could be wrong but wouldn't this include things like the arena (which he is putting next to nothing up front up) and stuff we don't see like facilities inside the rink for players. Rumours are he nickels and dimes every aspect of operations.

It's more than just spending to the cap. Almost 3/4 of the league spends close to the cap every season so that's not a major accomplishment.

Right. But does he ever fly to Calgary and watch a game? Does he follow the team at all?

Spending to the cap isn’t some big achievement the league has a nice revenue sharing program.

It’s the other things that matter. Likely why Conroy has to go out of his way to pick up Frost and Farabee. Fed them salmon on the flight.

God that's depressing to read. Three times out of the first round in 35 years? I know an argument against a tear it down rebuild is "gotta build a winning culture" but at what point in the past 3+ decades have we managed to build a winning culture? Pretty remarkable how loyal fans have stayed through all this.

That is absolutely embarrassing. Being lumped in with an organization who has been covering up sexual assaults, Canucks who treat coaches players like complete trash and the Sabres speak for themselves.

I don’t have any inside insight, but when enough insiders and league experts all say the same thing I guess we have to accept it.

Sadly, what can you do? I don’t have an extra billion laying around to buy the team. Anyone else?

I am with Badgers. I don't have insight.

Lets be happy we have a team.

Drafting and developing i feel has gotten great.

Just hold to picks and keep building depth
New Arena finally
