Default Canes 2 Flames 1 (OT)

Canes 2 Flames 1 (OT)

- Flames completely outclassed for the second straight afternoon
- Dustin Wolf the only reason they got a point
- Calgary now 1-2-1 on the trip

So it really feels like we're going to get the best of both worlds.

Competitive hockey most of the year, flirting with a playoff spot, and keeping our own pick after all.

Doesn't sound Flamesy... but here's hoping...

Wolf was great - but the Canes got great tending too.

Huberdeau’s game was pretty solid - the whole PK was a bright spot.

Maybe we should tank? Keep our pick and move on. Yeah playoffs are exciting and all but its like we already know how fast theyll be eliminated so why bother.

I only would want playoffs if i knew we could win 2 rds , make some noise and give our guys a taste of what could be , what it takes and how to be prepared.

Im happy thr culture is changing but i don't realistically think this happens overnight.

Whats coming soon is intriguing and Craigs done okay . Honestly, Frost and Farabee were never going to get us over the hump. They just werent .

More to come but just not yet .

How do you tank? Tell the team to stop trying? Stop giving Wolf starts?
How do you tank?

How do you tank?
Start Vladar every game for the balance of the season
You pull the goaltender with five minutes left in every game regardless of the score
You make sure that at least twice a game you are sending extra players over the bench for too many men penalties
You have Rooney, Paschal, Hanley, Lomberg playing the whole two minutes of power play and penalty kills
You ensure that Rooney, Paschal, Hanley, Bean, and Lomberg are getting at least 30 minutes a game of ice time by double shifting them

If you don't care about the team, the players, the fans, competitive integrity, and the future than its very easy to tank.
In theory the Flames should be able to go 0-12.
