I thought he refused to play in Canada? That would be great, Gibson is washed.

Gibson would an upgrade on Skinner. He plays on a horrible Anaheim team and has a 0.916 save percentage.
Could see Carolina also interested.

I wouldn't be surprised if the oilers took after COL and made a knee jerk move in goal after a bad weekend

I thought Gibson got hurt the other night. Maybe more serious?

That horrible Anaheim team has a much better defensive group than Edmonton.

You think Colorado made knee jerk reactions to their goaltending ?

Yeah that's a bit strange. Georgiev was bad last season, awful this season, and is doing even worse in San Jose. Blackwoods SPCT in Colorado is 47 points higher than Georgiev's had been.

Looks like they want Gibson to be healthy for the trade deadline. Has an upper body injury so they probably want him to get healthy and them hold him out for a trade.

Is that just Marion Hossa with those fake glasses and a moustache?

Friedman apparently said on 32 Thoughts he heard his preference would be Edmonton or Carolina. But the catch is he would have to be the clear number one so they would have to either involve Skinner in the trade or do a seperate one.

Gibson is 7th in the NHL in goals saved above average, 4th per 60.

Playing sheltered starts, he has only played 24 games. Like I said, the Ducks have a much better defensive group and system than the Oilers. He would get lit up like a Christmas tree there.

Not sheltered. He was injured before, too. He missed the start of the season until November 10.

Gibson is a clear upgrade on Skinner even with a tire fire defensive group in Edmonton.
Let’s hope Carolina swoops in and gets him.

Not sure I buy that from Seravelli. No need to trade for a guy with a cap hit just under 5 million just to fill in on your AHL team. Surely they could have traded for a minor league guy, or even have their AHL team make a trade.

In fairness his cap hit for the rest of the season is basically negligible. Probably should've been able to get Detroit to give up a late pick, though.
